Power Plant stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in September 2020 with 39 contracts and a 33.1% share, followed by Generation Equipment with 29 contracts and a 24.6% share and Electricity Procurement with 28 contracts and a 23.7% share during the month.
The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Power Purchase Agreement: 26 contracts and a 92.9% share
- Electricity Supply: two contracts and a 7.1% share.
Solar is top technology for Asia-Pacific electricity procurement contracts in September 2020
Looking at electricity procurement contracts by the type of technology in the Asia-Pacific region, solar accounted for 22 contracts with a 68.8% share, followed by wind with six contracts and an 18.8% share and hydro with two contracts and a 6.3% share.
