T&D Project stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in April 2020 with 159 tenders and a 42.9% share, followed by T&D Equipment with 110 tenders and a 29.6% share and Generation Equipment with 54 tenders and a 14.6% share during the month.
The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Supply & Erection: 33 tenders and a 61.1% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 20 tenders and a 37% share
- Consulting & Similar Services: one tender and a 1.9% share.
Thermal is top technology for Asia-Pacific generation equipment tenders in April 2020
Looking at generation equipment tenders by the type of technology in the Asia-Pacific region, thermal accounted for 46 tenders with an 85.2% share, followed by solar with five tenders and a 9.3% share and hydro with two tenders and a 3.7% share.
