T&D Project stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in January 2021 with 63 tenders and a 31.8% share, followed by T&D Equipment with 59 tenders and a 29.8% share and Power Plant with 39 tenders and a 19.7% share during the month.
The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 17 tenders and a 56.7% share
- Supply & Erection: 13 tenders and a 43.3% share.
Thermal is top technology for Asia-Pacific generation equipment tenders in January 2021
Looking at generation equipment tenders by the type of technology in the Asia-Pacific region, thermal accounted for 21 tenders with a 70% share, followed by solar with seven tenders and a 23.3% share and nuclear with two tenders and a 6.7% share.
