T&D Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in May 2021 with 39 tenders and a 28.9% share, followed by Generation Equipment with 37 tenders and a 27.4% share and T&D Project with 33 tenders and a 24.4% share during the month.
The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 26 tenders and a 70.3% share
- Supply & Erection: 11 tenders and a 29.7% share.
Thermal is top technology for Asia-Pacific generation equipment tenders in May 2021
Looking at generation equipment tenders by the type of technology in the Asia-Pacific region, thermal accounted for 33 tenders with an 89.2% share, followed by solar with three tenders and an 8.1% share and hydro with one tender and a 2.7% share.
