T&D Project stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in October 2019 with 302 tenders and a 51.4% share, followed by T&D Equipment with 113 tenders and a 19.2% share and Generation Equipment with 99 tenders and a 16.8% share during the month.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Supply & Erection: 90 tenders and a 90.9% share
  2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: nine tenders and a 9.1% share.

Thermal is top technology for Asia-Pacific generation equipment tenders in October 2019

Looking at generation equipment tenders by the type of technology in the Asia-Pacific region, thermal accounted for 83 tenders with an 84.7% share, followed by hydro with nine tenders and a 9.2% share and solar with six tenders and a 6.1% share.
