T&D Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in Q4 2020 with 371 tenders and a 37.2% share, followed by T&D Project with 278 tenders and a 27.9% share and Power Plant with 208 tenders and a 20.9% share during the quarter.
The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:
- Supply & Erection: 100 tenders and an 84.7% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 18 tenders and a 15.3% share.
Thermal is top technology for Asia-Pacific generation equipment tenders in Q4 2020
Looking at generation equipment tenders by the type of technology in the Asia-Pacific region, thermal accounted for 95 tenders with an 80.5% share, followed by solar with 17 tenders and a 14.4% share and hydro with three tenders and a 2.5% share.
