T&D Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in August 2021 with 65 tenders and a 38.5% share, followed by Power Plant with 34 tenders and a 20.1% share and Generation Equipment with 32 tenders and an 18.9% share during the month.
The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Supply & Erection: 18 tenders and a 56.3% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 14 tenders and a 43.8% share.
Thermal is top technology for Asia-Pacific generation equipment tenders in August 2021
Looking at generation equipment tenders by the type of technology in the Asia-Pacific region, thermal accounted for 31 tenders with a 96.9% share, followed by hydro with one tender and a 3.1% share.
