T&D Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in Q3 2021 with 217 tenders and a 36.5% share, followed by Power Plant with 125 tenders and a 21% share and Generation Equipment with 109 tenders and an 18.3% share during the quarter.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:

  1. Supply & Erection: 61 tenders and a 56% share
  2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 48 tenders and a 44% share.

Thermal is top technology for Asia-Pacific generation equipment tenders in Q3 2021

Looking at generation equipment tenders by the type of technology in the Asia-Pacific region, thermal accounted for 102 tenders with a 94.4% share, followed by hydro with two tenders and a 1.9% share and nuclear with two tenders and a 1.9% share.
