Power Plant stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in December 2020 with 32 contracts and a 34% share, followed by Generation Equipment with 28 contracts and a 29.8% share and Electricity Procurement with 14 contracts and a 14.9% share during the month.

The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

The top issuers of power plant contracts for the month in terms of power capacity involved in Asia-Pacific were:

  1. Mapanuepe Hydropower: 500MW from one contract
  2. Korea East-West Power (South Korea), Korea Electric Power (South Korea) and X-ELIO Energy (Spain): 200MW from one contract
  3. Hamek Investment & Construction: 150MW capacity from one contract.

The top winners of contracts for the month in terms of power capacity involved in Asia-Pacific were:

  2. East China Electric Power Design Institute (China), Anhui No.1 Electric Power Construction (China) and Anhui No.2 Electric Power Engineering & Construction (China): 1,320MW from one contract
