T&D Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in July 2021 with 67 tenders and a 33.7% share, followed by Generation Equipment with 53 tenders and a 26.6% share and Power Plant with 35 tenders and a 17.6% share during the month.
The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Project Implementation: 26 tenders and a 74.3% share
- Consulting & Similar Services: five tenders and a 14.3% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: four tenders and an 11.4% share.

The top issuers of power plant tenders for the month in terms of power capacity involved in Asia-Pacific were:
- Solar Energy Corporation of India (India): 1,301MW from three tenders
- NHPC (India): 600MW from one tender
