The proportion of solar technology contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Power Purchase Agreement with 21 contracts and a 37.5% share
- Project Implementation: 21 contracts and a 37.5% share
- Supply & Erection: 11 contracts and a 19.6% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: one contract and a 1.8% share
- Consulting & Similar Services: one contract and a 1.8% share
- Electricity Supply: one contract and a 1.8% share.
India tops Asia-Pacific solar power contracts activity
India was the top country in the Asia-Pacific region for solar technology contracts recorded in July 2021 with 16 contracts and a 28.6% share, followed by Malaysia with nine contracts and a 16.1% share and China with seven contracts and a 12.5% share.

The top issuers of contracts for the month in terms of power capacity involved in Asia-Pacific were:
- Akimat of Mangystau Region: 30,000MW from one contract
- Badan Pengusahaan Batam: 2,200MW from one contract
- BSES Rajdhani Power (India) and BSES Yamuna Power (India): 510MW capacity from one contract.

The top winners of contracts for the month in terms of power capacity involved in Asia-Pacific were:
- Svevind (Sweden): 30,000MW from one contract
- Sunseap Group Pte (Singapore): 2,200MW from one contract
- Abu Dhabi Future Energy (United Arab Emirates): 880MW capacity from three contracts.
