The proportion of solar technology contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Project Implementation with 17 contracts and a 65.4% share
  2. Supply & Erection: six contracts and a 23.1% share
  3. Power Purchase Agreement: three contracts and an 11.5% share.

India tops Asia-Pacific solar power contracts activity

India was the top country in the Asia-Pacific region for solar technology contracts recorded in April 2020 with 13 contracts and a 50% share, followed by China with eight contracts and a 30.8% share and Singapore with two contracts and a 7.7% share.

The top issuers of contracts for the month in terms of power capacity involved in Asia-Pacific were:

  1. NHPC (India): 2,000MW from five contracts
  2. NTPC (India): 600MW from two contracts
  3. Luneng Group (China): 200MW capacity from one contract.
