  1. Project Implementation with 13 contracts and a 40.6% share
  2. Power Purchase Agreement: ten contracts and a 31.3% share
  3. Supply & Erection: eight contracts and a 25% share
  4. Consulting & Similar Services: one contract and a 3.1% share.

India tops Asia-Pacific solar power contracts activity

India was the top country in the Asia-Pacific region for solar technology contracts recorded in June 2020 with ten contracts and a 31.3% share, followed by Japan with five contracts and a 15.6% share and Malaysia with five contracts and a 15.6% share.

The top issuers of contracts for the month in terms of power capacity involved in Asia-Pacific were:

  1. Solar Energy Corporation of India (India): 10,000MW from eight contracts
  2. Tenaga Nasional (Malaysia): 490.88MW from five contracts
  3. Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution (India): 450MW capacity from two contracts.
