The proportion of solar technology tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Project Implementation with 29 tenders and an 80.6% share
  2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: two tenders and a 5.6% share
  3. Supply & Erection: two tenders and a 5.6% share
  4. Consulting & Similar Services: one tender and a 2.8% share
  5. Electricity Supply: one tender and a 2.8% share
  6. Power Purchase Agreement: one tender and a 2.8% share.

India tops Asia-Pacific solar power tenders activity

India was the top country in the Asia-Pacific region for solar technology tenders recorded in June 2021 with 16 tenders and a 44.4% share, followed by Pakistan with six tenders and a 16.7% share and the Philippines with three tenders and an 8.3% share.

Asia-Pacific solar technology tenders in June 2021: Top issuers by capacity

The top issuers of tenders for the month in terms of power capacity involved in Asia-Pacific were:

  1. Gujarat Industries Power (India): 2,375MW from one tender
  2. Railway Energy Management (India): 755MW from two tenders
  3. Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution (India): 500MW capacity from one tender.
