T&D Project stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in December 2019 with 291 tenders and a 50.8% share, followed by T&D Equipment with 105 tenders and an 18.3% share and Generation Equipment with 81 tenders and a 14.1% share during the month.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Supply & Erection: 85 tenders and an 81% share
  2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 19 tenders and an 18.1% share
  3. Project Implementation: one tender and a 1% share.

Hydro is top technology for Asia-Pacific T&D equipment tenders in December 2019

Looking at T&D equipment tenders by the type of technology in the Asia-Pacific region, hydro accounted for five tenders with a 55.6% share, followed by thermal with four tenders and a 44.4% share.
