T&D Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in December 2020 with 104 tenders and a 39% share, followed by T&D Project with 74 tenders and a 27.7% share and Power Plant with 52 tenders and a 19.5% share during the month.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Supply & Erection: 80 tenders and a 76.9% share
  2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 24 tenders and a 23.1% share.

Thermal is top technology for Asia-Pacific T&D equipment tenders in December 2020

Looking at T&D equipment tenders by the type of technology in the Asia-Pacific region, thermal accounted for four tenders with a 66.7% share, followed by hydro with two tenders and a 33.3% share.
