T&D Project stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in Q1 2020 with 737 tenders and a 49.9% share, followed by T&D Equipment with 335 tenders and a 22.7% share and Power Plant with 193 tenders and a 13.1% share during the quarter.
The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:
- Supply & Erection: 280 tenders and an 83.6% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 45 tenders and a 13.4% share
- Project Implementation: ten tenders and a 3% share.
Thermal is top technology for Asia-Pacific T&D equipment tenders in Q1 2020
Looking at T&D equipment tenders by the type of technology in the Asia-Pacific region, thermal accounted for 14 tenders with a 50% share, followed by hydro with 11 tenders and a 39.3% share and solar with three tenders and a 10.7% share.
