T&D Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in Q2 2021 with 167 tenders and a 32.6% share, followed by Power Plant with 126 tenders and a 24.6% share and T&D Project with 91 tenders and a 17.7% share during the quarter.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:

  1. Supply & Erection: 141 tenders and an 84.4% share
  2. Project Implementation: 15 tenders and a 9% share
  3. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 11 tenders and a 6.6% share.

Hydro is top technology for Asia-Pacific T&D equipment tenders in Q2 2021

Looking at T&D equipment tenders by the type of technology in the Asia-Pacific region, hydro accounted for four tenders with a 50% share, followed by thermal with four tenders and a 50% share.
