Asia-Pacific T&D project tenders activity down 70% in August 2021

There were 20 T&D project tenders announced in the Asia-Pacific region in August 2021, marking a drop of 70% over the last 12-month average of 66, according to GlobalData’s power industry tenders database.

T&D Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Asia-Pacific region in August 2021 with 65 tenders and a 38.5% share, followed by Power Plant with 34 tenders and a 20.1% share and Generation Equipment with 32 tenders and an 18.9% share during the month.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

1. Project Implementation: 17 tenders and an 85% share
2. Consulting & Similar Services: two tenders and a 10% share
3. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: one tender and a 5% share.

Hydro is top technology for Asia-Pacific T&D project tenders in August 2021

Looking at T&D project tenders by the type of technology in the Asia-Pacific region, hydro accounted for one tender with a 100% share.
