Description
The project is being developed and currently owned by Astoria Gas Turbine Power. The company has a stake of 100%.
It is a gas turbine power plant that will be used for Middle load. The power plant can run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant will be natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant will run on Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel.
The project cost is expected to be around $500m.
Development Status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2021. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by June 2023.
Contractors Involved
GE Power will be the turbine supplier for the Dual-Fuel fired project. The company is expected to provide 1 unit of 7HA.03 gas turbine with 437MW nameplate capacity.
