Description

The project is currently owned by Ministry of Electricity and Energy, Egypt.

It is a Gas Turbine power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Light Fuel Oil.

Development Status

The project got commissioned in 2016.

Elsewedy Power System Projects was selected to render EPC services for the gas fired power project.

Ataka Gas Turbine Power Plant (Ataka Gas Turbine Power Plant Phase I) is equipped with Siemens SGT5-2000E gas turbines. The phase consists of 2 gas turbines with 156MW nameplate capacity.

Ataka Gas Turbine Power Plant (Ataka Gas Turbine Power Plant Phase II) is equipped with Siemens SGT5-2000E gas turbines. The phase consists of 2 gas turbines with 164MW nameplate capacity.
