Aurland – Sogndal Line, Norway

Aurland – Sogndal Line is a 420kV overhead line with a length of 70km from Aurland, Sogn, Norway, to Sogndal, Sogn, Norway.

The project, which is currently under construction, is expected to be commissioned in 2023.

Description

Aurland – Sogndal Line is an overhead line that will be operated by Statnett SF. The line will carry alternating current (AC) through double circuit cable.

Approximately $103.1m was financed by the authorities to undertake the construction works of the project.

The development of the Aurland – Sogndal Line project has been approved by the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate.

The construction works on the Aurland – Sogndal Line project will be commenced in 2021 and commissioning is expected in 2023.
