Babylon – Bezdecin Line, Czech Republic

Babylon – Bezdecin Line is a 400kV overhead line with a length of 54km from Babylon, Plzen, Czech Republic, to Bezdecin, Vysocina, Czech Republic.

The project, which is currently in the planning stage, is expected to be commissioned in 2024.


Babylon – Bezdecin Line is an overhead line that will be operated by CEPS. The line will carry alternating current (AC) through double circuit cable.

Approximately $71.5m was financed by the authorities to undertake the construction works of the project.

The construction works on the Babylon – Bezdecin Line project will be commenced in 2022 and commissioning is expected in 2024.
