The project is being developed and currently owned by KAZ Green Energy.
Balkhash Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is planned over 140 hectares.
The project is expected to generate 170,000MWh electricity and supply enough clean energy to power 100,000 households. The project is expected to offset 170,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is expected to be around $118.189m.
The solar power project consists of modules with rated capacity of 530W.
