Balsfjord – Skaidi Line is a 420kV overhead line with a length of 300km from Balsfjord, Halogaland, Norway, to Skaidi, Kvalsund, Norway.
The project, which is currently under construction, is expected to be commissioned in 2023.
Description
Balsfjord – Skaidi Line is an overhead line that will be operated by Statnett SF. The line will carry alternating current (AC) through double circuit cable.
Approximately $512m was financed by the authorities to undertake the construction works of the project.
The development of the Balsfjord – Skaidi Line project has been approved by the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate.
