The project is being developed and currently owned by Rise Renewables and UPC AC Renewables Australia. The company’s ownership stake in the project stands as 51% respectively.

Baroota is a pumped storage project. The penstock length will be 1,200m. The penstock diameter will be 6m. The project is expected to generate 2,000 MWh of electricity. The project cost is expected to be around $700m.
