Bawgata River hydropower plant is a 160MW hydro power project. It is planned on Bawgata river/basin in Bago, Myanmar. The project is currently in announced stage. It will be developed in single phase. Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2024.

The project is being developed by Thoolei. Ministry of Electricity and Energy, Myanmar and Thoolei are currently owning the project.
The project is expected to generate 500 GWh of electricity. The project cost is expected to be around $295.616m.
Development Status
Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2024.
