Description

The project was developed by Instituto de Recursos Hidraulicos y Electrificacion and is currently owned by The AES with a stake of 49.07%.

Bayano is a reservoir based project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 27,000 million cubic meter. Bayano underwent through rehabilitation & modernization during 2002-2004.
