Baynes – Cahama Line is a 400kV overhead line with a length of 112km from Baynes Hydropower Plant, South Angola, Angola, to Cahama, Cunene, Angola.
The project, which is currently in the planning stage, is expected to be commissioned in 2025.
Baynes – Cahama Line is an overhead line that will be operated by Rede Nacional de Transporte de Electricidade. The line will carry alternating current (AC) through double circuit cable.
Approximately $191.1m was financed by the authorities to undertake the construction works of the project.
