The Beni Suef – Assuit East Line, which is an overhead line, is being operated by Egyptian Electricity Transmission. The Beni Suef – Assuit East Line is a new line. The line carries alternating current (AC) through double circuit cable.

The development of the Beni Suef – Assuit East Line project was approved by Egyptian Electric Utility and Consumer Protection Regulatory Agency and the project works were completed in 2018.

Contractors involved

State Grid Corporation of China was appointed by Egyptian Electricity Transmission to supply the cables for executing the 500kV Beni Suef – Assuit East Line.
