Description

The project was developed by Harbin Electric International and is currently owned by Quaid-e-Azam Thermal Power.

It is a combined cycle gas turbine (ccgt) power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is regasified liquefied natural gas. In case of shortage of regasified liquefied natural gas the plant can also run on High Speed Diesel.

The project cost is $728.124m.

The power generated from the project is sold to Central Power Purchasing Agency under a power purchase agreement.

Harbin Electric International was selected to render EPC services for the gas fired power project.

Bhikki LNG Power Plant (Bhikki LNG Power Plant (Gas Turbine 1&2)) is equipped with GE Power 2×1 MS 9HA.01 gas turbines. The phase consists of 2 gas turbines.

Bhikki LNG Power Plant (Bhikki LNG Power Plant (Steam Turbine)) is equipped with GE Power steam turbine. The phase consists of 1 steam turbine with 380MW nameplate capacity.

Harbin Electric International is the O&M contractor for thermal power project for a period of 12 years.
