Bitter Root Transmission Line is a 345kV underground line with a length of 16.78km from Yellow Stone, Montana, US, to Astoria, Oregon, US.

The project, which is currently in the planning stage, is expected to be commissioned in 2021.

Description

Bitter Root Transmission Line is an underground line that will be operated by Otter Tail Power. The line will carry alternating current (AC) through single circuit cable.

Approximately $15m was financed by the authorities to undertake the construction works of the project.
