The project is currently owned by Cleco Power with a stake of 100%.
It is a Steam Turbine power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is petroleum coke. In case of shortage of petroleum coke the plant can also run on Bituminous. The fuel is procured from Illinois Basin Coal and Powder River Basin Coal.
The project generated 3,423,014MWh of electricity. The project cost is $1,359.157m.
The project got commissioned in February 2010.

Mitsubishi Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Coal fired project. The Coal fired project consists of 1 steam turbine.
