Buyukduz is a run-of-river project. The gross head and net head of the project are 507.24m and 488.51m respectively. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, are 1 in number. The penstock length is 1,677m. The penstock diameter is 2m. The project generated 192 GWh of electricity. The project cost is $203.958m.

Contractors Involved

GE Renewable Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 2 units of pelton turbines, each with 35.422MW nameplate capacity.

GE Renewable Energy supplied 2 electric generators for the project.
