Description

The project is developed and owned by PetroVietnam Power. The company has a stake of 100%.

It is a combined cycle gas turbine (ccgt) power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Distillate Fuel Oil. The fuel is procured from PM3-CAA and Cai Nuoc Gas Field.

The project cost is $880m.

Fichtner and Lilama were selected to render EPC services for the gas fired power project.

Siemens was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 4 units of SGT5-4000F gas turbines, each with 250MW nameplate capacity.
