Description
The project is being developed by Cabin Point Solar Center and Orsted North America. The project is currently owned by Orsted North America with a stake of 100%.
Cabin Point Solar Center is a ground-mounted solar project which is planned over 700 acres.
The project is expected to supply enough clean energy to power 15,000 households. The project cost is expected to be around $107.8m.
The solar power project consists of 260,000 modules.
Development Status
Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in June 2022.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project will be sold to Old Dominion Electric Cooperative under a power purchase agreement from 2022. The offtake capacity is expected to be 75MW.
