Cataxa – Matambo Line is a 400kV overhead line from Cataxa, Tete, Mozambique, to Matambo, Tete, Mozambique.
The project, which is currently under construction, is expected to be commissioned in 2024.
Cataxa – Matambo Line is an overhead line that will be operated by Electricidade de Mocambique EP. The line will carry alternating current (AC) through double circuit cable.
Approximately $21.79m was financed by the authorities to undertake the construction works of the project.
The development of the Cataxa – Matambo Line project has been approved by the Energy Regulatory Authority (ARENE).
