Description

The project is currently owned by Archer Daniels Midland.

It is a Steam Turbine with Cogen power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is subbituminous. In case of shortage of subbituminous the plant can also run on Bituminous. The fuel is procured from MidAmerican Energy Company.

The project generated 813,932MWh of electricity.

The thermal power project consists of 5 turbines each with 31 MW nameplate capacity and 1 turbines each with 101.1 MW nameplate capacity respectively.

Development Status

The project got commissioned in November 1988.

Tampella Power supplied steam boiler for the Cedar Rapids Power Plant (Cedar Rapids Power Plant Phase II).
