The wind turbines in the project are installed on fixed foundations. An array of monopile foundations feature in the project.

The project generates 959,840MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 300,000 households, offsetting 650,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $854.354m.

CGN Jiangsu Rudong H8 Offshore Wind Power Project (CGN Jiangsu Rudong H8 Offshore Wind Power Project – Phase IA) is equipped with CSIC HaiZhuang Windpower H171-5.0 turbines. The phase consists of 38 turbines with 5MW nameplate capacity.

CGN Jiangsu Rudong H8 Offshore Wind Power Project (CGN Jiangsu Rudong H8 Offshore Wind Power Project – Phase IB) is equipped with CSIC HaiZhuang Windpower H171-5.0 turbines. The phase consists of 2 turbines with 5MW nameplate capacity.

CGN Jiangsu Rudong H8 Offshore Wind Power Project (CGN Jiangsu Rudong H8 Offshore Wind Power Project – Phase II) is equipped with Shanghai Electric Wind Power Equipment turbines. The phase consists of 25 turbines, each with 4MW nameplate capacity.
