Changji – Guquan HVDC Line is an 1100kV overhead line with a length of 3284km from Changji, Xinjiang, China, to Guquan, Anhui, China.

Construction works on the Changji – Guquan HVDC Line started in 2017 and the project was commissioned in 2019.

Description

The Changji – Guquan HVDC Line, which is an overhead line, is being operated by State Grid Corporation of China. The Changji – Guquan HVDC Line is a new line. The line carries direct current (AC) through double circuit cable.

The development of the Changji – Guquan HVDC Line project was approved by The State Electricity Regulatory Commission in 2017 and the project works were completed in 2019.

ABB and Siemens was appointed by State Grid Corporation of China to supply the cables for executing the 1100kV Changji – Guquan HVDC Line.
