The project was developed by Odebrecht Peru Ingenieria y Construccion S.A.C and is currently owned by Empresa de Generacion Electrica de Arequipa with a stake of 100%.

Contractors Involved
Neyrpic was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 3 units of pelton turbines, each with 51.29MW nameplate capacity.
Alsthom Atlantique supplied 3 electric generators for the project. The generator capacity is 57 MVA.
