Choshi City Offshore Wind Project is a 370MW offshore wind power project. It is planned in Pacific Ocean, Chiba, Japan. The project is currently in announced stage. It will be developed in single phase. The project construction is likely to commence in 2022 and is expected to enter into commercial operation in 2024.

Description

The project is being developed by Choshi Offshore Wind Farm. Tokyo Electric Power Co Holdings and Orsted are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 51% and 49% respectively.

The project cost is expected to be around $1,813m. The project will be spread over an area of 39km².

The wind power project consists of 31 turbines.

Development Status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2022. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2024.
