Cibuk 1 is a 158.46MW onshore wind power project. It is located in Vojvodina, Serbia. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in October 2019.

Description

The project was developed by Continental Wind Partners and Vetroelektrane Balkana d.o.o – WEBG. Abu Dhabi Future Energy, Taaleri and Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 60%, 30% and 10% respectively.

The project generates 475GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 113,000 households, offsetting 370,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $341.916m.

The Tubular Steel towers installed at the project site are 110m high.

Development Status

The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in October 2019.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Elektroprivreda Srbije under a power purchase agreement for a period of 12 years.

Contractors Involved

GE Renewable Energy was selected to render EPC services for the wind power project.

GE Renewable Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 57 units of 2.75-120 turbines, each with 2.78MW nameplate capacity.

GE Renewable Energy is the O&M contractor for the wind power project. The operation and maintenance contract commenced from 2019, for a period of 15 years.
