Description

The project is currently owned by Southern Power.

It is a Gas Turbine power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Distillate Fuel Oil.

The project generated 693,541MWh of electricity. The project cost is $1,024.913m.

Development Status

The project got commissioned in December 2012.

North Carolina Electric Membership and North Carolina Municipal Power Agency Number 1 are the power offtakers from the project.

Contractors Involved

Siemens was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 4 units of F Class gas turbines, each with 180MW nameplate capacity.
