Description

The project was developed by SunPower. The project is co-owned by Avangrid and Axium Infrastructure, with their respective ownership stake of 50% each.

Copper Crossing Solar Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 144 acres.

The project generates 54,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 3,700 households.

The project construction commenced in 2010 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in August 2011.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Salt River Project Agricultural Improvement And Power District under a power purchase agreement, starting from 2011.

Contractors involved

Fluor was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

SunPower was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 66,384 modules at the site.

SMA Solar Technology supplied 10 of its 20 SMA 760CP inverters to the project site.

SMA Solar Technology supplied 20 of its SMA 500CP inverters to the project site.

The project is utilising single axis trackers supplied by SunPower.
