Curtis Biomass Power Plant is a 50MW biopower project. It is located in Galicia, Spain. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in March 2020.

The project was developed by Teixeiro and is currently owned by Greenalia with a stake of 100%.

The project generates 324GWh electricity thereby offsetting 393,973t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $165.005m.

The process of combustion has been adopted in this project to release the stored energy from the feed. Agricultural by-product is used as a feedstock to power the project.

The project got commissioned in March 2020.

Acciona Industrial and Imasa Ingenieria y Proyectos were selected to render EPC services for the biopower project.

Valmet supplied steam boiler for the project.
