Description

The project was developed by Construtora Norberto Odebrecht. Neoenergia, Centrais Eletricas Brasileiras and Centrais Eletricas do Norte do Brasil are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 51%, 24.5% and 24.5% respectively.

Dardanelos is a run-of-river project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 0.12 million cubic meter. The net head of the project is 95.6m. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, are 5 in number. The penstock length is 430m. The project generated 1,139 GWh of electricity. The project cost is $600m.
