The Dodoma – Iringa Line, which is an overhead line, is being operated by Tanzania Electric Supply. The Dodoma – Iringa Line is a new line. The line carries alternating current (AC) through double circuit cable.

Tanzania Electric Supply Co Ltd (TANESCO), formerly Tanganyika Electric Supply Co Ltd, is a government owned integrated power company.
