The project was developed by African Clean Energy Developments, Genesis Eco-Energy, Sturdee Energy and SunEdison. The project is currently owned by African Infrastructure Investment Managers with a stake of 50.01%, Genesis Eco-Energy and SunEdison.
Droogfontein 2 Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 179 hectares.
The project supplies enough clean energy to power 45,000 households. The project cost is $137.6m.

Power Purchase Agreement
