Description

The project is currently owned by Cairo Electricity Production with a stake of 100%.

It is a Steam Turbine power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Fuel Oil.

The project generated 3,014,000MWh of electricity.

Development Status

The project got commissioned in 2010.

Contractors Involved

GE Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Dual-Fuel fired project. The company provided 2 steam turbines, each with 350MW nameplate capacity.

GE Power supplied electric generator for the project.

AC Boilers supplied steam boiler for the project.
